JH Sayyar's Sonnets

My Muse soars up like eagle when I think of you,
My Muse surveys beauties roaming here and there,
It tells me anon who is false and who is true?
My Lady’s beauty false putting layer on the layer,
Let me visit O Muse, desert unholy love land,
Standing trees leafless and flowers without smell,
All around the heat, no shade where to stand,
I see the parching heat burns all like ugly hell,
Coming out of love land when I see my being,
Burns all my wishes with more heat of lust,
I see hollow loves here and there swiftly fleeing,
Alas! This sight of beauty shakes my love trust,

Your coquettes; day joy, and your beauty; night sin,
Your coral breast sight enough lover’s heart to win
