JH Sayyar's Sonnets

248
Let us divide love among loveless on the way,
Yea! None throws love full rays to that ugly face
Charity: the poor’s right we must happily pay,
And with our holy eyes at them we must gaze,
Love like a fine glass exposes her glorious rays,
But reflects the painted beauty with double face,
Hidden from the eyes, the secrets, I do amaze,
Then love spreads on earth new love to trace,
I accept you with the stains in hope to mend,
All types of evils, but I fail in my holy aim,
Women’s nature mighty, change your trend
But I fail to correct them, I openly do claim

I trust woman’s love but not her natural fault,
That changes earthly things as mountain salt
