JH Sayyar's Sonnets

432
O Rose! Your rose beauty incites my pen and Muse,
To write about the pretty eyes and heart full of ruth
Images float in the brain and anon make me confuse,
The vows compel for hate, your love inspires for truth,
But my Muse surveys your heart through pretty eyes,
Jealousy sits in the heart and cunning hate in the ball
My sensitive ears listen to the lovers’ hue and cries,
In your four cells of heart cannot walk but crawl
O Rose! Your beauty mortal dying look in the glass,
Silver in your head shining, trenches in your cheek,
Furrows on the forehead and trembling hands, alas!
Your rose beauty deceiving still through mind freak

All mortal but good deeds on earth remain forever,
Health, wealth and beauty, time anon does devour
