JH Sayyar's Sonnets

103
I trace a faithful love in faithless world
How foolish I am since my natal day,
It proves now right that I have heard,
That a lover in life can never be gay
The love-god is blind and cannot see,
And judges all things with emotion-eye
And forget as the Adam forbidden tree,
He breaks the oath now in vain the cry.
Falling in your love starts my poor fate,
And now have no way to flee from this,
How poor I am now how was I great,
Alas! I surely kill myself just for a kiss.

Love cannot be chained with any chain,
You are happier if my true love is slain.
