JH Sayyar's Sonnets

114
Do walk side-by-side sin and shame,
First our black sins bring disgrace,
Both make the sinner’s body maim,
Punished in the Court lie is the base.
Follow forefathers to shun troubles,
Those who neglect it fall in lust hell,
All wise men follow, neglect a gull,
What right and wrong all know it well?
A lie eats soul as dead by the worms,
Sin makes fall virtues like autumn leaves,
Virtues spread in heaven like airy storms,
On earth sinners are punishable thieves.

Follow parents’ advice to make a happy life,
All happy with you if the best is your wife
