JH Sayyar's Sonnets

283
The world’s woeful talk about me and you,
But after our death our on earth does remain,
But you ignore me knowingly, your rue
Kills my poor love and give me pain,
Canker live in rose, hidden in flowers,
Your canker, pride more dangerous to being
But man canker live in man’s wisdom power,
Ignoring time spindle that is swiftly fleeing,
Nice traits live in brain but lust in eyes,
Honesty prolongs life, lie curtailing days,
Goodness lives on earth when our soul flies
But after death the foolish on it keenly gaze.

I am ashamed of doing nothing for your will,
But alas! O Lady your will is more jealous still,
