JH Sayyar's Sonnets

299
Come Jessica, come, and do tell me, what is love?
Is it my fantasy or in vain my poor heart cry?
None can tell me, why? Every person’s kid-glove,
Hungry for pelf, with love-sigh their heart to fry
Love follows not but always lusty follows skies
In guise of love it roams alone here and there
And the foolish fall in the more of cute eyes
And looking at the face fairer more than fair,
Love is blind and hides love, love hidden faults,
The only thing of beloved, coral breasts bright
They are used by love against love assaults
And sometimes does breaks out a horrible fight,

But those who follow always their foolish hearts
Fall in troubles soon and troubles always do dart
