JH Sayyar's Sonnets

288
O my Love, when my sweet love and red lily,
When be weather fine sitting near the beach,
Yea! I try to catch her but beyond my reach,
I daily do try whether dreary night be chilly,
It comes to me but jealous frisking waves,
Tale it away from me, why? I know it not,
But troubles daily sitting there idle I did got,
Because kissing red, red lily my heart craves,
Just like it I love you O Love more and more,
But the callous world, take you from me away,
From my holy sunken eyes, O Lady, truly I say,
If you come, I shall not knock at any door,

My dim shadow in your eyes and yours in mine,
Come o Lady come, let us make dull night fine
