JH Sayyar's Sonnets

459
When I look in the garden at your pretty face
My heart burns with tears floating on the cheeks
My fingers compose verse to paint your grace
Your silver hair, wrinkled face and on it creaks
Flowers bloom in spring fade in autumn season
Just like love rose blooms in youth fades in old age
How nature does this job none knows its reason
But I have imprisoned your youth in verse cage
I compose your cheeks, lips, eyes and coral breast
In verse forever and you will be young ever, ever
When all eaten by worms but you save from pest
Ah! Time perishes all but my golden verse never

O Rose when heart loses hope love slips from heart
As we from the grains little round pebbles set apart
